JIF. There is no xylitol in any JIF peanut butter products making them safe for your pup. However, they do contain added salt, so they aren’t the best peanut butters for regular snacking. If you’re in a pinch, look for the JIF Natural series, which has a reduced amount of sugar and salt added.

Peanuts already contain natural sugar (4.7 grams of sugar per every 100 grams of raw peanuts, according to Healthline).

Hormel Foods Corporation has closed its acquisition of the US based Skippy peanut butter business from Unilever US. This closing includes the Little Rock, Ark, manufacturing facility and all sales worldwide, except sales in China.
Skippy is an American brand of peanut butter spread manufactured in the United States and China.
In Consumer Reports’ latest tests, every peanut butter brand had at least one sample with detectable aflatoxin. The average level in the 86 samples was 5.7 ppb. None of the 14 samples of the big three national brands (Jif, Skippy and Peter Pan) contained more than 1 ppb of aflatoxin.
This other classic brand is pretty on par with Jif, except it has 1 gram less fiber, higher sodium and no molasses. Skippy’s entire line of natural spreads are free of preservatives, artificial flavors and colors. Like most peanut butters, this one is also free of cholesterol and trans fat
The recalled products are: Devondale salter butter, 250g with a best before of May 18 2022 or June 4 2022. Devondale salted butter, 500g, with a best before of April 30, 2022; May 1 2022, or June 24, 2022. Devondale salted butter 3x500g with a best before of May 1, 2022.
Devondale and Woolworth Butter products recalled over microbial contamination fears. Various butter and spreadable butter blend products have been recalled due to a potential microbial contamination. Saputo Dairy Australia is conducting the recall as the products may cause illness if consumed.
